Privacy Policy

Effective date: 1 April 2026

1. Who we are

JotJum is operated by Teparit Limited, a company registered in Thailand. If you have any questions about this policy, contact us at hello@jotjum.com.

2. What we collect

  • Account information — your name and email address, provided via your identity provider (Rooiam / Google / Microsoft) when you sign in.
  • Notes content — the text you write inside JotJum. This is stored on our servers and is private to your account.
  • Preferences — timezone, language, and display settings you configure in the app.
  • Usage logs — standard server logs (IP address, request timestamps) for security and debugging. These are not sold or shared.

3. How we use your data

  • To provide and operate the JotJum service.
  • To authenticate you securely.
  • To send transactional emails if necessary (e.g. security alerts). We do not send marketing emails.
  • To diagnose bugs and improve the service.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data or note content with third parties for advertising or any commercial purpose.

4. Data storage and security

Your data is stored on servers in a secured environment. We use HTTPS for all data in transit. Passwords and API keys are hashed and never stored in plain text. Session tokens are managed securely via HTTP-only cookies.

5. Data retention

Your account and notes are retained for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by emailing hello@jotjum.com. We will process deletion requests within 30 days.

6. Cookies

We use a single session cookie to keep you signed in. We do not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or third-party analytics cookies.

7. Third-party services

Authentication is handled via Rooiam (an identity platform operated by Teparit Limited). We do not integrate with third-party advertising, analytics, or data broker services.

8. Your rights

You have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you.
  • Correct inaccurate data.
  • Request deletion of your account and data.
  • Export your notes (contact us to request a data export).

To exercise any of these rights, email hello@jotjum.com.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date above. Continued use of JotJum after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
